Dead and Alive: An Afternoon with Benjamin Marshall at Rosehill Cemetery

  • Rosehill Cemetery, May Chapel 5800 North Ravenswood Avenue Chicago, IL, 60660 United States (map)

This is a fundraiser for the Benjamin Marshall Society.

As a one-time special, we are extending a complimentary membership through 12/31/22 with the purchase of your $100 ticket.

The afternoon will begin with a short tour of the cemetary ending at the Marshall mausoleum where 3 generations of Marshalls are interred. A wreath-laying ceremony will be held inside the mausoleum. Many famous Chicagoans are located nearby, including the Drakes who were schoolboy chums of Marshall. Next, Steven Monz, Benjamin Marshall Society Docent, will give a presentation in the gorgeous May Chapel built in 1898.

Spirits and Bites will follow on the beautiful portico. We look forward to a lovely afternoon "speaking Marshall" and other Chicago architecture topics with you!
