First premiered in 2019 to celebrate Marshall’s life and legacy, the production brings fresh insights into one of Chicago’s most prolific and gifted architects, the visionary behind East Lake Shore Drive, the Drake Hotel, the Blackstone Hotel, the Edgewater Beach Apartments and Hotel, the South Shore Cultural Center and so much more. Since then, we have shared it widely at Marshall properties, landmark theaters, and cultural institutions across the city.

Now, in order to share the film on public television, we are fundraising to expand it from 24 to 55 minutes to meet broadcast standards. We have many exciting new developments to include, reflecting Marshall’s growing recognition and the expanded support from the City of Chicago.
